Role Overview

The Video Editor will create short-form social media videos, wedding highlights, corporate event recaps, and full highlight films. The role requires storytelling instinct, clean editing, music sensitivity, and the ability to work with brand direction while improving speed and technical consistency over time.
Key Responsibilities

Edit Instagram Reels, TikTok-style short videos, Facebook videos, corporate reels, teaser videos, and event recap cuts.

Edit wedding full highlights and corporate full highlights using provided footage, audio, music, and creative direction.

Select strong moments, emotional beats, clean transitions, and story sequences from raw footage.

Sync footage with music and audio, including vows, speeches, interviews, ambient sound, and event moments.

Apply basic color correction, audio cleanup, text overlays, subtitles, and branded end cards when needed.

Prepare drafts for review and apply revisions based on comments from the creative director or client.

Organize project files, timelines, exports, raw footage, and backup folders properly.

Export files in correct formats for social media, client preview, and final delivery.

Assist in Same Day Edit workflows during events when assigned.

Job Specification / Qualifications
-
-
Graduate or graduating student of Multimedia Arts, Film, Communication, Digital Media, Information Design, or related courses.

Proficient or trainable in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar editing software.

Has a portfolio or sample edits, even school projects, personal reels, or passion projects.

Understands basic pacing, continuity, music timing, shot selection, and emotional storytelling.

Basic knowledge of video formats, codecs, frame rates, and export settings is an advantage.

Can follow creative direction, meet deadlines, and revise work without taking feedback personally.

Experience editing weddings, events, corporate videos, interviews, or social media content is a plus but not required.
Preferred Skills

Basic color grading and audio enhancement.

Captioning, typography, and motion graphics basics.

Familiarity with vertical video formats and platform-specific edits.

Ability to identify emotional highlights from long event footage.
-
Knowledge of Adobe After Effects is a plus.
